The secret of time management in recruitment is not goal-setting, planning, prioritising and keeping a to do list. 213 million search results on Google will tell you those things. So theyโ€™re hardly secrets. ChatGPT fares no better. Try it for yourself. ChatGPT gives you things like; โ€œbatch similar tasks, limit distractions, streamline communication,โ€ blah, blah, blah.

Not the real secret of time management in recruitment. The secret requires some effort, Iโ€™m afraid.

But it will change your life.

  • You WILL be more successful.
  • You WILL win more clients.
  • You WILL make more placements.

The secret of time management is ๐—˜๐—™๐—™๐—œ๐—–๐—œ๐—˜๐—ก๐—–๐—ฌ.

Let me give you one example (there are over 200): When a prospect client tells me, โ€œIโ€™m too busy to meet with you,โ€ I close for a meeting at least 7 times out of 10 during that first conversation. I donโ€™t have to โ€œcall back in 2 monthsโ€ (THINK: Is this what you have to do?).

Iโ€™m in their diary and they are in mine at the end of that phone call. At least 7 times out of 10. If your closing ratio for that particular objection is lower than mine, Iโ€™m more efficient than you.

  1. If I close for retainers more often than you, Iโ€™m more efficient
  2. If I fill more vacancies than you via referrals, Iโ€™m more efficient
  3. If Iโ€™m more skilful than you at securing 1st interviews, Iโ€™m more efficient
